UNIVERSAL IMPEX [UI] established in 1998 as manufacturer and exporter of engine parts. Parts are widely used in South Africa, East Africa, Middle East, USA, Far East, Europe and many other countries. Almost all major distributors in South Africa, Australia and New Zealand distribute UI products. For the last few years, UI products have gained increased acceptance in North America, from where these are re-exported to Latin American countries. UI takes pride in having developed critical engine parts for Automobile, Tractors and Trucks requiring high degree of precision for such well-known engines as Cummins, Caterpillar, Mack, Detroit, Perkins / Massey Ferguson, Ford, John Deere, International Harvestor (IHC), Mitsubishi, Mazda, Mercedes, Toyota, Hyundai, Ursus, Zetor, Volkswagon and a host of others. UI has been concentrating on very high precision products namely Engine Parts, i.e. Cylinder Liner (Dry and Wet Type), Air / Water cooled Ribbed Cylinder Liners / Block, Valves, Valve Guides, Crankshafts, Connecting Rods, Engine Bearings and Bushes, Camshafts, Crankshafts, Cam Followers/Valve Tappets, Valve Seat Inserts, Cylinder Heads and parts etc. UI prefers to see itself as a professional concern and this attitude is manifest right through the working of the company. Apart from it's own manufacturing group, the company imparts technical and other help to the supporting manufacturers in the close scrutiny it maintains over product inputs and stringent measures for on line quality control.
